I have no experience with this, sorry. Did you try this? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1065400/comments/11
I suppose you have a good chance to get this working, this is an old problem, there is a workaround. I don't if it is broken again, you need to test it. Go digging about this issue, on problems like this we learn a lot... 2016-07-19 18:46 GMT-03:00 <[email protected]>: > BCM207002A appears to be correct > > following bug mentions a broken hfp/hsp issue it's not yet clear to me how > to check this on my laptop > https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1065400 > > can it be that the 4.4.0 kernel has broken this 'again'? > > And what about h-node > > https://h-node.org/bluetooth/view/en/610/Foxconn---Hon-Hai-Foxconn-T77H114-BCM2070--Single-Chip-Bluetooth-2-1-+-EDR-Adapter-/1/1/undef/undef/undef/undef/bluetooth-works/bcm2070 > > tested on: Trisquel 5.5 Brigantia > tested with the following kernel libre: 3.0.0-17-generic > does it work with free software? yes > > does this mean that there is a working module available that is fully free > software? > > and from this bug report > https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/863051: > The broadcom USB bluetooth device "BCM20702A0" (appearing as FoxConn Hon > Hai) (vendor:device ids 0489:e031) does not match any drivers' probe > functions, as there is no suitable USB device ID match in the kernel. > > is there a way to check if the 4.4.0 kernel has matching functions > available? > > output of usb-devices: (hci and BCM2070) > > T: Bus=02 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=480 MxCh= 3 > D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1 > P: Vendor=1d6b ProdID=0002 Rev=04.04 > S: Manufacturer=Linux 4.4.0-31-generic ehci_hcd > S: Product=EHCI Host Controller > S: SerialNumber=0000:00:1d.0 > C: #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=e0 MxPwr=0mA > I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub > > T: Bus=02 Lev=02 Prnt=02 Port=03 Cnt=02 Dev#= 4 Spd=12 MxCh= 0 > D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=ff(vend.)
