It has a 647MHz Intel Pentium III CPU (32-bit), 512 MiB RAM, 72.3GiB hard drive. Maybe you can make it boot from Plop via USB, and install Lubuntu. It would be better with 256 MB, but still, > even if Lubuntu can be installed and runs, it would not really be a useful > tool for normal computer tasks until there is 512 MB RAM, which is the > maximum RAM in that computer according to the cnet link. > I can boot from CD-R. However, the USB port only works erratically - it only recognises some USB flash drives. I've tried booting from Plop - when I press u to boot from USB it ignores me and does nothing. I have installed 16.04 Lubuntu on it using Net Boot. However, I was under the mistaken belief that Net Boot isos aren't provided for pre-release spins. Given the frequency of spins, I was hoping to install via flash drive because I didn't want to waste a pile of CD-Rs. I have some CD-RWs so I will see if it is happy with them.
