Yes, sure, but that is not shared through Windows. It is a network-capable printer/scanner, and the Linux machine is connecting directly to it over the network. If the all-in-one device is USB-only, then the connection is: [all-in-one] <--> [Windows PC] <--> [Linux PC] The AI1 is only attached to the Windows PC; the Linux PC is printing to Windows, and Windows forwards the task to the printer. If the AI1 is network capable, then it is more like: [Windows PC] <--> [AI1] <--> [Linux PC] *Both* computers are directly connected to it. But this requires a network-capable AI1 device, and they are more expensive than simple USB ones. -- Liam Proven • Profile: http://lproven.livejournal.com/profile Email: [email protected] • GMail/G+/Twitter/Flickr/Facebook: lproven MSN: [email protected] • Skype/AIM/Yahoo/LinkedIn: liamproven Cell/Mobiles: +44 7939-087884 (UK) • +420 702 829 053 (ČR) -- Lubuntu-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/lubuntu-users
