Another great solution to a problem that many many people have had not only
with the new version but past versions too. Of course nobody has actually fixed
the problem they just tell you to reset your entire panel. This is why most
people can not get on with Linux distros. I have lost my on off button too but
I simply can not be arsed to reset the entire panel yet again. It only
disappears because the entire panel is disfunctional, but hey let's not worry
about that chaps!

Hi,

If you need it, these commands reset Lubuntu panel to default:

$ cp /usr/share/lxpanel/profile/Lubuntu/panels/panel

~/.config/lxpanel/Lubuntu/panels

$ lxpanelctl restart
