I don’t see any Pulseaudio settings/app. I did bring up the amixer in ALSA but
did not see any settings to change. I also did set the user to have audio
control as suggested by another poster, but still no audio.

Subject: Re: [lubuntu-users] Audio through HDMI setting?

Hi.

if you are using pulseaudio (e.g. Lubuntu after 16.10) you have to change
settings via the application "pavucontrol" (tab: configuration). With versions
earlier than 16.10 you have to configure ALSA via amixer. Check with "cat
/proc/asound/cards" for hardware and set it with "amixer -c NUMBER" I think.

First time install of lubuntu for a Plex server on ASUS hardware. System seems
to work fine and I get HDMI hi res output from the HDMI connector, but no
audio. Is there some setting I am missing?
