I checked /etc/fstab and the swap partition was listed in it. I ran this command: sudo swapon --all --verbose And got the output: swapon: /dev/sda1 already active - ignored HTH, Ian -- -- ACCU - Professionalism in programming - http://www.accu.org -- My writing - https://sites.google.com/site/ianbruntlett/ -- Free Software page - https://sites.google.com/site/ianbruntlett/home/free-software
