Walter - thank you for the testing instructions.

*Using this hardware:*Dell Inspiron 530 - franklin (for 64-bit Lubuntu
testing)
Intel Core 2 6600, 2.4GHz, 64-bit; 2GiB RAM, 466GiB hard drive, DVD RW
optical drive, Ethernet connection

*Using this software*4ef27debaa7342df727e80b41c71739b
*eoan-desktop-amd64.iso

This is a full-blooded install of lubuntu 19.10 onto bare-metal hardware,
running from internal hard drive.

*Summary*Did all that was asked of me. System works with a few quirks.

*Install experiences** Chose "manual install" (it had a previous install on
it)
* When the installer showed what the 'before' and 'after' hard drive
partitioning would look like, they were identical. Which is strange but the
install worked

*Login screen*Before any key is pressed, the screen shows that keyboard
layout is 'US'. As soon as I started typing a password, the layout would be
displayed correctly as a British keyboard.

Not sure what to test for - not having experimented with graphics much.

Tried Accessories -> Compton. Hard drive whirred for a while. Nothing else.

As per instructions, installed new compton from ppa:wxl. No problem.
Rebooted and used system to install SuperTux. No problem

Used provided share.riseup.net URL to download sddm-config-editor. Did a
chmod +x on it and ran it directly from ~/Downloads directory. Wasn't sure
what to test so decided on setting "General->Initial NumLock state" to
"on". Quit it. Ran it again - "General->Initial NumLock state" was still
"None". Rebooted. Noticed that "NumLock" is ON but sddm-config-editor does
not reflect this.

*By the way...*Lubuntu looking and running better than before. Well done!

BW,

Ian
