hi Ali,

sorry for the delay in replying.

we have already discussed the issue of duplication and triplication. We're
pretty much on our own here as the wiki-admin team seems to have vanished
and the UBT is still re-forming its own groups to assist in educating
people who are keen to assist. After a chat with Chris, I'm setting up some
pages on a test area where people can get used to using the #divert# tag.
That part has been done to a degree, but I have not written any
instructions up for using it yet. I assure you that it is still on my list
of things to do. What myself and Chris have discussed is that we set up a
couple of pages on the wiki-docs area to list all the pages that need to
have diverts on, along with a column to state that they have been done. The
FAQ section is already starting to get too long and needs further work,
that was why I had a table of contents of the 1st page so as we could
further section the two current existing sections. We did have, back in old
days, 3 sections which were 'Beginners', 'Intermediate' and 'Advanced'.
This is something I feel that we need to do again as some of the
instructions whilst perfectly well written could really break a system and
not be something that we feel new users should attempt until they have
learned more about taking backups of critical files (and, more importantly,
making a partition for /home for the best fall back should a system require
a re-install).

The list of things to do is long, progress is being made.

regards,

Phill.
