I am new to lucene and want a high-level view of how it works before I dive deep into the code.
1. Are there any high-level or detailed design docs? 2. What files are included in an index and what do they contain? 3. How does locking work for reading and writing? 4. When are segments created and merged? 5. Any UML diagrams (class, sequence, etc.) available? Thanks for the help.
