Sounds good to me. I can't wait to see the new and improved PhraseQuery!
I just sent the relevant proposal to this list in response to Tatu's message with subject "position increment".
Note that I'm also working on a more substantial proposal to revise PhraseQuery so that it can support things like nested phrases, e.g., "Joe Bob" NEAR "Check it out". I'll send this to the list ASAP.
