I'm using gcc/gcj 3.3.3, do I maybe need a more recent version?
I'm currently using 3.4.1, but I think 3.4.0 will work as well. I had troubles with 3.3.
I've worked more on this, and now have a version (not yet committed) which appears a bit faster than a JVM. More soon.
