Brian - what is involved in deploying to a Maven repo? Yes, we should
do that also as part of our release procedures.

If you are compiling a run book for releases, it would be nice, though
non-standard, technically, to have the jar file copied over to the
maven repo as well. I took the liberty of doing this for 1.4.3 (hope
you don't mind!).
Thanks again for the awesome library!

Christoph,
Many thanks for tackling this administrative stuff.
I see the release where you put it, though I have not tried it yet.
Do you see any steps in the process that we could/should automate to
make this easier in the future?
It would be nice if we could get 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 released properly
also, just for the sake of completeness.

Finally I made release 1.4.3.
As suggested by Erik I switched to Apache's mirroring resources.
I copied all release files to
/www/www.apache.org/dist/jakarta/lucene
on minotaur.apache.org
and I have updated all download links on the Lucene website that I
found.
However, so far I only updated the website in CVS (not the copy
that's
online) since it will take 24 hors until the new release has been
distributed
to the mirrors. This gives you a chance to verify whether the release
files
and links are ok.

Christoph
