Digy commented on LUCENENET-113: -------------------------------- UnauthorizedAccessException means that another process is using your file(or you have no enough right to open that file). This is not a bug of Windows or Lucene, it is an default behaviour of all operating systems. I think, it is not a preferred case to hide an error reported by the OS in libraries like Lucene if it can not handle it. Think of a case where your disk is full and AddDocument tries to throw an exception. Which one is better, hiding the exception in Lucene or passing it to the application?
