All,

I am writing this message to everyone in my gmail address book because I'd
like to warn you all of a phishing and spamming scam that I've been
unwittingly suckered into thanks to the infamous Mr. Michael Hill.

Tagged.com prompts you to join a very dodgy looking social network;
guilt-tripping you by prompting, "say 'yes', or your friend may think you
said 'no'."

Please ignore these messages altogether and do not respond to the messages
in any way. If you sign-up to tagged.com whilst referencing your gmail
account, tagged.com will acquire your address book and spam EVERYONE you
have ever emailed from gmail.

The phishing seems to be aimed at driving up tagged.com traffic, rather than
stealing personal information. On the other hand, many of their practices
seem very shady to me. ( If you say "no", you get taken to the same sign-up
page as if you'd said "yes". )

IF YOU HAVE ATTEMPTED TO REGISTER WITH TAGGED.COM please change your email
password immediately so that the site cannot obtain your address book
information. Otherwise, tagged.com may begin spamming everyone in that
address book.

I am very embarrassed and very sorry to have facilitated the spreading of
this spam and regret any trouble it may have caused you. I am continuing to
research the latest on tagged.com in order to properly assess the damage it
might cause as well ways to stop it dead in its tracks. Will do my best to
get to the bottom of it and minimise any further trouble it could cause you.

My sincere apologies,

Mike Barbarelli
