Hi all, I need to create a search engine, that searches for files in a WinNT LAN. I would like to know if Lucene will be useful for me. Two preconditions are that I will not know the host names in the network and will not be know which hosts allow read access on their shared folders. Any suggestions on how to start on this would be of great help.
