Hi all, Please accept my sincere apollogies as I am not sure whether this is the right route for going about asking Lucene help questions.
I have come across Lucene by chance, it looks the business! Exactly what i was looking for a search engine thats free and powerful. I am trying to get started with implementing Lucene for searching through XML files in a directory on a filesystem. I am not sure whether i would have to program Lucene or whether the current version of Lucene is applicable generally by simply indexing the appropriate files. I am a little familliar with javascript and JSP so the front end i could develop! I am also working with Apache Cocoon. Is Lucene compatible with Cocoon. Finally, is it worth me trying to use Lucene as i am not a real programmer or am i seeing things as overly complicated?. Any help will be most appreciated. Thank you in advance.
