Hi Swaroop, Welcome! Right now Lucy is a C search library, with bindings to Perl. There is work underway regarding making bindings to other PLs, including Ruby. It would be *awesome* (at least for me, a Java wonk) to get Java bindings to it as well. To do this, you'll need to know/learn C, so not sure how much of that you know. You can take a look at:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/lucy/trunk/example-lang/README Which will give you an idea of how to start down that path. Also, we welcome *any* sort of contributions, more documentation, more useful test cases, help on our issue tracker, JIRA [1], answering user email questions, etc. Feel free to dive in and start contributing! Cheers, Chris [1] http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCY On Jun 25, 2011, at 3:31 AM, satya swaroop wrote: > Hi all, > > I am new to the community.
