 Rackspace is currently seeking all levels of Linux system
administration professionals at our corporate headquarters in San
Antonio, TX.  All shifts are available, and a differential is paid
for 2nd and 3rd shift.  Relocation assistance *may* be available for
some positions.
 Examples of open positions:
Linux System Administrator - Provides technical support and
technical consulting for Rackspace customers. Administrators have
both direct (phone) and indirect (via email) contact with customers
to assist in troubleshooting and maintaining complex web server
configurations.
 Linux System Operations Administrator - Works the front-lines to
ensure maximum stability and performance of our cloud systems by
responding to and troubleshooting issues with our infrastructure and
customer-facing cloud resources. Our massive server footprint
provides endless opportunities for motivated Linux Administrators to
prevent and solve problems that are unique to the cloud space,
including but not limited to web servers, database servers, cache
accelerator servers, mail servers, ftp servers, backend storage
systems, and load balancers, and the interactions of these devices
with one another.
 Linux Systems Engineer - Responsible for making architectural
design decisions in our environment, solving technical problems and
making educated improvements to the system.  A Linux Engineer is
expected to identify and advise on potential pitfalls that we may
experience and suggest alternatives that may better serve the
stability and security of our hosted platform.
 The most successful candidates will have:
* At least two years experience as a Linux System Administrator
* Knowledge of common Linux system services (Apache, Postfix, etc.)
* Basic knowledge of scripting languages (PHP, Perl, Python)
* Basic knowledge of databases, specifically MySQL
* RHCT or RHCE preferred, but not required
* Specific requirements may vary by position
