agetty invokes /bin/login and hence does not assist me in attaching to a serial port, however I almost got a break through with minicom capturing to a file except that when it captures to a file all the data is buffered first until the exit when it writes to the file. Any idea to stop it from buffering?

Guyz,

Anyone with an idea how I can capture the input from a serial port (e.g.
/dev/ttyS0) directly to a file or a pipe other then the usual <STDIN>?.
Minicom throws me just into an interactive shell which is not helping me.

Andrew?
