mail via mutt...:-D

In your .muttrc

set implicit_autoview = yes

In your .mailcap or /etc/mailcap

text/html; /usr/bin/lynx -dump -force_html '%s'; needsterminal; copiousoutput; description="HTML Text"; nametemplate=%s.html

text/richtext; /usr/bin/antiword '%s'; description="Richtext"; copiousoutput

application/msword; /usr/bin/antiword '%s'; description="Microsoft Word"; copiousoutput

This (or something pretty close to it) should deal with the problem. Now, when reading your mail in mutt, it won't bother you even if they sent a Word document as an attachment, which is even more annoying as HTML email, due to having to switch context just to read the email.
