Shem What do you mean by annual cost of the server? All I can tell you is that we hardly need to do any thing to the server apart from the regular security updates and not so frequent OS upgrades. However I think you could take it a step further by procuring the Enterprise Server version of Suse. I should say it is a sleek product. If your organisation can afford the license costs, it is a better bet in my view :-).
As for the notes databases, the client is in a better position to say more on that as we are not notes database gurus. They seem to have some one who does that for them and since he doesnt have to tiunker with the Linux server direct, we hardly get to know what he does.
