Kiggs u r right. I am doing that too every otherday. However I was very crestfallen to learn the other day that M$ selectively attacks certain markets. Uganda is one of those where they can afford to have continued privacy for even the next 5 years. Reason being, get em used and hooked to it, when the market grows into a million dollar one, tighten the noose. Thats why Kenya is already on the hangman's rope of M$.
Meanwhile hope u heard about the copyright infringement case M$ lost in france and were fined about 3 million francs. Good 2 see the same medicine applies to them too :--) L > Just a thought > Linux advocates should be the strongest proponents for the upcomming > copyrights bill in Uganda and make sure it has the stiffest penalties > immaginable under law for violations. > > As soon as that law passes two things will happen, > Microsoft will run in here and audit the government, schools, companies > under our own law and claim hundrends of millions of dollars in licence > fees. > The increased costs will be passed onto the consumer > > The alternatives will then emerge strong and enboldened. > > So make sure your MP passes a strong copyright bill > -- > **************** ***************************** > Kiggundu Mukasa # Computer Network > Consultancy### KYM-NET LTD. # Intranets & > Internet Solutions# House 73 # Data > Communication Service #### Plot 80 kanjokya Street > P.O.
