I'd like to announce the launch of the FOSSFA Community Database:
http://fossfa.org/database/
This database is intended as a resource for African Open Source practitioners. It's also an experiment. We hope that the information in the database will be gathered and maintained in a completely decentralized manner: a database of, by and for the community, you might say.
If you work on Open Source software or technology in or related to Africa, we'd like you to create entries for yourself and your projects, companies and organizations.
Once we get over the first hurdle of filling the database with basic content, we can work on figuring out how to improve and extend the system. The source code for the database application is available, and I remain available to write more code, and to help other programmers become familiar with the system and its underlying technologies.
Peace, Kwindla
