I entirely agree. If we really get it into our heads to attend these meetings and also put it on our calendars, we definately can make these meetings. It isn't as hard as it appears now.
I happen to also attend the I-Network meetings but all it requires is ample notification on the part of the organisers and you to inform the necessary people within your organisation of the purpose of the meeting you are going to attend.
I can't imagine an employer who can refuse his employee to meet his (the employee's) fellow specimens for one morning once a month!!! Worse still I can't imagine a network crashing because you are away for one morning!!!
On the other hand, you can't believe how much good these once a month meetings can do us!!!

I'm sure we can squeeze in one meeting in a month (or as and when
appropriate) to meet if we really wanted to. Meeting face to face opens a
whole new world of opportunities and ideas. The key point will to ensure that
the meetings are focussed and organised with a specific aim and that time is
kept strictly.

Only one proble with it, TIME!

Very g ood idea, if we can find the TIME to participate. I think email is easy
because it finds us at our desks, physical meetings involve relocation.
