When it comes to IP law I think it’s
perfectly right to adopt a tried and tested law. After all thanks to the
internet and globalization we no longer operate in a single geographical
location. Having looked and signed a number of contracts lately when it
comes to arbitration you will always find that most foreign organizations refer
to English law as a point of reference. We surely do not have the time nor the expertise
yet to start rewriting a law that will end up looking the same if we want to be
able to trade with any foreign entity. The fact that we do not have a law
by now is evidence enough that we do not yet have the capacity to start
something afresh. Let our new lawyers get to terms with practicing than “re-creating
