Ronny, u said > This is very wrong beacuse it stops Linux from growing and so does it > increase the populairty of windoze comeon! And by any chance if you are > an employer please stop that attitude :-) !
MCSE certification does not in anyway stop Linux from growing. In any case it complements it. I personally believe that all the camps have the ability to co-exist. I do not see a situation where Linux gives a "fix all" solution for the entire IT needs in this world. In any case if a M$ admin realises that his Windows cant do certain things chances are he will look for alternatives and Linux could always come in handy. There are always those situations when your employer wants a solution and aint ready to hear excuses about M$ not being able to do x, y or z. > In this era of computing I can get you all the certificates you have > dreamt of (Original). That's why if you came to me with your papers and > we have a vacancy I put you on prbation and fire you if don't perfom as > you MSCE shows :-) Once again Ronny, I think you are exhibiting some ignorance here. You should make such statements after formatting your brain like an employer. 1. No employer is interested in hiring and firing on the fly. Why? Because it is expensive to the company. 2. For the companies that have the means, they are interested in "ready" products. So in a situation where no one is in position to tell you about the skills of two potential employees what would your inclination be? The papers or your gut feeling? 3. Of late I come across very decent techies with lots of paperwork to their credit. Gone are the days when IT admins were just offered jobs without crosschecking their paperwork. Infact if you still have hope of a career in IT that will span beyond Spacenet, u had better think of these papers that you so much despise. > The thing is how do we get linux to the desktop without MSCE's failing > us look windows 95 and 98 still in our schools why?How can yoiu > convince such a kid that linux exists :-\ MCSEs r not failing you to get Linux to the desktop. The plain truth is that Microsoft is a very good marketeer and until we in the FOSS world pull up our socks in that area, dont expect anything much in that direction.
