Well for google, they get a pretty good picture of the most popular websites 
on the internet and can thus do some stuff on their side to increase hits 
from those websites making them even more popular as a search engine.

Plus since they will already have cached most of these sites anyway, they will 
probably do a lot less crawling or do more directed crawling.
