Kurup Talking of ICANN and its politics, ask me :) I once had the honor of experiencing it first hand and I would like to let you know that there are alot of underhand dealings taking place there.
A number of decisions are made to ensure that they are "politically" correct with the so called West. This has led to alot of grumbling from countries perceived as not being pro west. I am therefore not suprised when I see a tete a tete developing rapidly in this area. Afterall china for a while decided to go silent and amass the numbers be4 re-igniting the fire. Now that they have the numbers, its gonna be a long long battle boy. Back to FOSS :) PS: Who of you has read this: http://www.manchester.ac.uk/idpm/dig/briefings.htm click on Free and Open Source Software: A Blind Alley for Developing Countries? (Richard Heeks) or http://www.sed.manchester.ac.uk/idpm/publications/wp/di/short/DIGBriefing1FOSS.doc Let me know your comments about the paper.
