Hello all,
Thanks for your responses and sorry couldn't answer promptly yesterday due o
some obligations away from the server room.
1. It can't be message size limit., 10240000 bytes =10MB and that is way
beyond 1MB!!

I meant all the traffic combined. What I did was to limit smtp traffic alone
to a maximum of 48kbps(my link total is 128kbps, so I feel that was quite
generous:-) ). The limiting of the SMTP normalised the situation.

Will get back to you on this, let me do the reading first.

No. The behavior is the same with or without the throttling. The problem is
within Postfix!!

Gateway is running ClarkConnect and has a webinterface for bandwidth
management.

No. Internal mail is very smooth. No problem whatsoever

Postfix-2.2.1
But sincerely how can postfix deliver attachments of a particular size
internally and fail to deliver the same size outside!! Baffling!
