hi Chris,
Thanks for your opinion. I am trying to understand your point of view,Earnest, but I am of the obstinate type who never say never.
And this is a very, very good thing. (Einstein, Charles Parsons, Newton, etc.. must have had the same zeal).
Of course starting with Ubuntu would be fine and probably easier, but I am not looking for an easy way out. Ubuntu is a modifiation of Debian. I will probably be retracing the steps of Ubuntu, but so what? To me it is a challenge to be able to even do that. I would rejoice at having achieved it or wouldn't you?
I would (if i had lots of coding time) ;)
I want to feel the thrill and the confidence that I can also do what others have done and in the process maybe bring about a few innovations too. I am sorry I am that stupid !!
OK Chris, i rest my case. In any case, i think dons like you are the best examples to your students. (You might have missed a thread here that seriously lambasted makerere dons).
good luck! rgds ernest _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
