Type "Ctrl+Alt F1" to switch to a virtual terminal.

Login as root.

Type "init 3" to shut down your windowmanager.

Type "rm -fr /tmp/kde*" to remove all the temporary kde files.
Also "rm -fr /tmp/ksocket*" to remove all the temporary kde sockets.

Then "cd /home/[your username]" e.g. /home/pndiku for me.

Then "rm -fr .kde/*-*". Note the stars & the dash. Don't leave spaces!

Then type "init 5" to restart your login manager.
