Not just you. Suddenly, YIM won't let me log in from my Mac. From Windows, it keeps bouncing me in and out with its own latest software. Trillian connects and then disconnects. Adium (basically GAIM equivalent) won't let me in either, saying Yahoo! has changed its authentication system.

Also, mail I am sending out is not appearing to come back in. There's something funny going on here too. Thinking about the WMF backdoor, maybe this is a new one trying to spread? Call me paranoid ...

Hi all.

Is it just me, or has Yahoo! slowly started acting funny
these past 6 or odd weeks?

In about 98% of cases I send e-mail to Yahoo! hosted mail,
I either receive a timeout from the first 2 or 3 mail
servers, and/or a 451 SMTP error.

Eventually, the mail is delivered, but never to the same
server twice (in most cases), and only because there are
secondary mail servers (which is the point).

Either Yahoo!'s mail servers are getting too busy, or
something else is cooking. Anyone else notice this?

Cheers,

Mark.
