Industrial Training Placements for Electrical/Telecommunications
Engineering Students
The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Technology,
Makerere University seeks Industrial Training placements for
Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering students. The main
objective of the industrial training period, which runs from June to
August, is to equip Second and Third year students with practical
skills to reinforce the theoretical knowledge acquired from class.
Additional objectives for the industrial training include:
- Exposing students to the experience of professional practice within
an industrial environment
- Exposing students to a business oriented community, and allowing
them to associate and learn from various professions within
Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering
At the end of the industrial training period, it is expected that
students would have a good understanding of the systems and
technology applied by the company/institution in which they are
placed. The students would have also had the opportunity to
participate in the design, setup, installation, maintenance, etc., of
the systems and technology, as appropriate.
