[apologies for cross-posting]

Greetings!

Kabissa is excited to announce that we are starting a new project to
implement CiviCRM. As the project gets underway, we are seeking
experienced African programmers to help us customize CiviCRM over the
next few months. I've included a bit more about the project below, but
if you are interested, please contact my colleague, Tobias Eigen at
[EMAIL PROTECTED], for more info. Please help to spread the word by
forwarding this announcement to e-mail lists you are on and directly to
people you think might be interested in the opportunity.

Best wishes,

Kim

Kabissa - Space for Change in Africa

Request for Proposal for the Customization of CiviCRM

Kabissa, a nonprofit working to make technology a force for change in
Africa, is seeking experienced African programmers to assist in a new
project to customize the open source Constituent Relationship Management
system, CiviCRM.

Over the past six years, Kabissa has worked with hundreds of African
NGOs to put the Internet to work for their own communities. We provide
these NGOs with affordable hosting services, Internet capacity building,
and online networking and information sharing opportunities. As we begin
to embrace the next generation of Internet tools, often referred to as
Web 2.0, we must first revamp our basic infrastructure for member data
and communications. We have selected the open source CRM system,
CiviCRM, as the basis for this new infrastructure, but anticipate that
we will need to make significant customizations to the system to meet
our unique needs.

This project will run from August 2006 through January 2007, with an
estimated 600 hours of work. If you are interested in being involved in
this project, please contact Tobias Eigen at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and he
will send you full details about the scope, activities, terms and
selection criteria for this project.
