Hi,

I got some mails from people suggesting this had anything to do with the 
bushnet dns service.

I am sorry i was not clear enough, but though i am on the bushnet network, i 
do not use their dns servers, i use my own.

updating the list of rootservers of my own dns server seems to have solved the 
problem.

It was basically my own fault, i should have googled a bit more before 
mailing :-) (i did not know about any rootservers before last night)
