Mike,
Simon K has already found that Datanet is advertising 41.220.x.x on both the
uixp side as well as the intenret with their AS number. MTN's router picks
this up and decides that the internet link is faster for some reason tough
the uix would be preffered.
According to him the problem is with Datanet/Bushnet's prefixes being send
via BGP.

This traceroute should go via the uix.

Reiner,
what problem are you facing? Most of the folks on the UIXP list are present
here as well.
Please state what the problem is and we at MTN will chase it down.
Regards,
Mike

This post belongs to the uixp mailinglist, i know.
We notice uixp issues very quick as our clients are on all different
networks
Today, we had a lot of clients complaining that our website was not
working,
and that they could not read their email, and we diagnosed it to be
a
routing issue.
I spent at least an hour (and lots of airtime) chasing MTN and
Datanet to fix
this routing problem between them.
The easiest way of reporting this issue for me would have been 1
email to the
uixp mailinglist where it could have been handled by all the people
involved
directly and swiftly. instead, it is now still not completely
resolved yet,
and i have absolutely no clue what the status is.
i have tried in a lot of different ways to get onto the uixp
mailinglist,
using the website, asking a few of you personally, but i have failed
to get
onto that list so far
so, can someone please get me a subscription, i promise i will
behave.

Of course, you might discount this possibility, but remember that one in
a million chances happen 99% of the time.
