While there are quite a number of changes in Leopard, the extra resources used are not my cup of tea.Yes, it does chew up more CPU. Yes, it does chew up more memory. It is a tad slower (well, for me, at least), but some other folk have "noticed" improvements in performance since.
True - it takes a little longer to startup on my notebook.
I'm disappointed, though, with the reduced performance of Airport. Since moving to Leopard, I have lost 25% worth of power over the wifi that isn't a problem on Tiger. This is a known issue.
I personally havent noticed that yet.
Perhaps, Leopard runs better, I dare say, on Apple's new MacBook Air. But without a native Ethernet port and optical drive, I'm not sure I'll be tearing up the shops looking to bag one, just yet.
That Macbook air looks like a big joke to me! eb
