Closer Home Simba Telecom is selling them off the Shelf - Unlocked-
1.5million for the 8GB version, the clinche '
*T*his* I*s* A*frica' rings so true here, i wonder if it would be possible
for a leading retailer to sell them off the shelf in Europe or North
America, this on the presumption Unlocking the iphone is illegal or isn't
it?
Albeit the prevalence of unlocking techniques by people, could be similar to
Microsoft's, leave room for cracks so that as many get hooked onto your
product while selling it at premium prices, down the road with people so
hooked step up your anti piracy and reduce your price, thus changing to the
competition becomes hard, people would rather pay what is now conceived as
your low priced product which they cant have enough off, leaving you the
producer in a win win, when the price is high people pay cos they know it
can be cracked and when the price is low they still buy cos they perceive
the price to be a bargain,
