As is the standard with response with IP network, "It depends". For example, you can't cure a DoS attack - it's the cost of being online. You can only mitigate a DoS attack, i.e., lessen the effects of it. If anyone comes and sells you a box claiming they have the cure to DoS attacks, run for the hills! Mark.
