I guess that's because the numbers at those counters depends on individual 
registrations. It expects everyone to pass there and add themselves as Linux 
users. But very few people even know those counters exist.

People,
I was shown a graph of linux use from a linux counter. How come i see less than 
15 registered users, when there should be about 300 or so users? That is if I 
count the traffic on this LUG as well as the People at the universities and 
institutes or then again why not 1000 users? We seem to be comparable to 
Burkina Faso and thats strange.
