Noah Like it or not, we live in a world where Papers speak before you get a chance to express your self.It is not always the case that when one applies for a job, they are already known by the recruitment team. Most times the reverse is true. Now, as opposed to relying on one's tales of how 'BAD' they are at this or the other, a universally acceptable standard helps align the selector's perception of the applicant. That is where these MSc, BSc, PHD, MCSE, CCNA, CCIE, RHCE, LPI qualifications give those who have them a lead over others. This is not to say that I entirely agree with that modus operandi, but again, being part of this world, I have to accept that it is the way forward.
