I have one laptop that had in issue with the fan as well. in such cases i 
always try to google with the exact typenumber of the laptop. in most cases 
you find someone with the exact same hardware as you that has the exact same 
problem. There is probably 1 undocumented setting, that you have to switch on 
or off. (for example. 2 ubuntu versions back, i had to tell alsa that my 
hardware was toshiba by doing something like: hardwarestack=toshiba and then 
i had sound.)
We're pretty knowledgable alltogether, but i think we're not going to guess 
this one.
