Their logic is still a little backward. Why would you want to run the OS with low overhead on top of the OS with the larger overhead. It should be the other way around. The decision to use the GPL is what I am surprised about. I feel that the time MS has spent to get their own OSS licenses approved meant that they are completely against the GPL and what it stands for.
