This is wonderful Peter. Just to be safe, I'd like to recommend that you take a backup of the the /etc/fstab file before you touch it.
I once had a situation where the /etc/fstab file was edited by HALD yet the root partition was at 100%. The commit failed and we ended up with a blank /etc/fstab! Cheers!
