Others  allow for choice  where you could have options to choose between
Horde, squirrel mail and RoundCube for example.

End-user on their travels  can then  choose what they feel most comfortable
with, and login into that.

Zimbra gets my vote. id does however have some annoying bugs like the
desktop client needs to be installed as workstation admin. And if you do a
'run as' and install it for a non-admin user. the setup will go under the
account you used to 'run as' and the user still will not have access to it

Zimbra Server has two editions the community release or the Network release.
The community release is very feature complete unless you want native
Blackberry support or Outlook Connector support, but used with Zimbra
Desktop Client which is totally free I have found to be a very good exchange
replacement.

Wondering what VMWare will do with it now?

need advise. which is a really good webmail opensource. Squirrel is too
basic and Zimbra isnt exactly free. Horde is somewhat okay but is there
