I am hoping that many Ugandans will apply for these fellowships so
that our voice can be heard in the internet governance issues and on
the technical side too like the IETF. Please see the announcement from
ISOC below:
colleagues:
The Internet Society (ISOC) is pleased to announce a call for
applications for the Next Generation Leaders (NGL) programme (www.isoc.org/leaders)
.
The programme is a unique blend of coursework and practical experience
that helps prepare young professionals from around the world to become
the next generation of Internet technology, policy, and business
leaders. Each year, the Internet Society will accept a group of
qualified young Internet professionals from academia, the public
sector, technology industries, and civil society into its Next
Generation Leaders programme.
Applications are now open for three of the NGL components:
ISOC Fellowship to the IETF <http://www.isoc.org/educpillar/fellowship/>
ISOC IGF Ambassadors <http://www.isoc.org/pubpolpillar/igfambassadors/>
NGL eLearning programme <http://www.isoc.org/leaders/elearning.php>
To learn more about the NGL, and each of the three components, please
visit: www.isoc.org/leaders Please review each component separately,
including the different criteria, to help you decide which
component(s) are appropriate for your professional background and
future goals.
Please note that each component has a different application deadline.
Noah.
