A refund for what?
I am sure other forums would ignore your question too.

non open source, to the point of calling them silly(this really

M$ solutions, but we offer Open Source answers to M$ problems! I
challenge you all, ISN'T THAT THE MAIN SKILL AREA REQUIRED OF ANY
OPEN SOURCE CONSULTANT IN UGANDA AS OF NOW!!! Ability to answer a
clients challenges faced in M$ with Open Source solutions? Isn't
it?????????????????????

list could have answered with the OO version of the same. I would
have gladly appreciated. Someone still did help me out but using
MySQL, but he couldn't post the replies to the list despite the fact
that they were very beautiful ingenious, cleverly written MySQL
statements!!!! Now I understand why, but I don't agree that it is
the right stand. Let people post their issues, but solutions should
simply be Open Source! Like I said, where we fail to provide an Open
Source solution to a M$, we then pick our lessons too.

Now, asking Excel questions arguably risks taking us too far off our
core purpose, so I do believe the comments were in order. The SNR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signal-to-noise_ratio
) on this list is higher than (say) that on i-network precisely
because of this focus. I think most people might like to keep it
that way. For the greater good and so forth.

offlist and we worked on this problem. Using MySQL!!!!!!! We created
the database, exported the excel file I posted into a CSV and
imported it into the database using the LOAD DATA INFILE command,
when it reached there we wrote a number of beautiful SQL statements
using order by, limit, multiple where clauses, creating subtables
from queries and so on. We only stopped because on other Excel
dedicated forums I had got the answers.

solve it in Open source and hence indirectly convert the poster. If
we can't atleast that will be a lesson learn. Lets not simply
discard. If the list had kept an open mind, believe me, what
happened off list would have been invaluable to any MySQL newbie.
Throw in the experts, it would have been explosive.

its time you challenged his stand and question his other postings
