Jacques,

Also check when you updated all your entries inside your /etc/apt/sources.list
got updated to Karmic as well and you don't have any Jaunty entries left over.
That might be why it's asking for the old version. Or completely remove Java
and then update your software list and try again.

Subject: [LUG] Sun-Java6-plugin

Dear LUG-members,

I've updated Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10
In Mozilla Firefox, Java doesn't work anymore.
So I've tried to install Sun-Java6-plugin via Synaptic, but then the
following error comes:

sun-java6-plugin:
Depends: sun-java6-bin (=6-15-1) but 6-16-0ubuntu1.9.04 is to be installed

When I understands this correctly, it says "go back to 9.04".

Anyone an idea how to solve this??

Jacques
