Hi again,

It appears that a number of you are not aware of what a Nokia N900 is,
so please allow me to clarify:

http://maemo.nokia.com/n900/specifications/

As far as I know you can't get them here in Uganda unless you want to
spend $1000 at the Entebbe Duty-Free shop. I've imported them as a
favor to the open-source community here, not just to make a quick buck.

The operating system (Maemo) is based on Debian Linux. It's completely
open-source -- the software repositories and updates even use apt-get.

It's got a big touchscreen, full slide-out back-lit qwerty keyboard, two
cameras (one is 5MP, both can do video), GPS, OpenGL 3D, 1GB of RAM, a
32GB HD, an infrared transmitter, an FM receiver AND transmitter,
supports 3G, GPRS, WCDMA, WIFI, etc. It can output 720p hi-definition
video via an included cable, it has multiple desktops and can multi-task
to the tune of ~30 applications at once. It's also a phone.

You can run Postfix or Asterisk on it, open MS Office docs/Powerpoints
on it, turn it into an instant wifi-hotspot, play multiplayer Quake 3 or
OpenArena on it, mount windows shares on it, SSH to it, broadcast
streaming Internet radio stations to your car FM stereo, plug video-out
into a projector, fly a remote control helicopter using the infrared
+accelerometer, or anything else you can imagine.

Review the specs link above. It's easily the most advanced mobile
device on the planet, and it's open-source.

I have three of them available and they're $650 each.
