Dear All, Sorry for cross posting, but it seems that these guys are doing a good job of communication to their clients
Its strange that I have to call my current ISP to beg them to setup my Internet account On my wall I have the numbers of my account manager, the technician, the technician's supervisor, and now I am looking for the one for the technician's supervisor's boss so that I can get setup before Easter. Stephen ========== cut ========== Dear Esteemed Clients As promised,I have the pleasure in informing you all of the progress we have made in acquiring services on the TEAMS fibre cable to supplement our capacity on the SEACOM cable. Before talking about that, a word on SEACOM. Since the last mail further redundancy has been put in place between Mombasa and Kampala and you will have noticed that the reliability has improved tremendously. That being said, it is still vital that we have connected the TEAMS capacity without delay in order to take consideration of any unfortunate eventualities that may occur in the future. I am happy to report that we signed our contract with TEAMS today and we will be implementing the capacity into our network in three distinct phases. Phase 1 This is the test phases that will start sometime next week and will last for a maximum of 2 weeks. During this phase we will be rigorously testing the capacity making sure it is appropriate for commercial use. In addition there will be same changes required in our network. Phase 2 There is limited capacity available until May and so for 1 month we will be taking a limited capacity. This will be sufficient to provide existing clients between 25 and 50% of their bandwidth if the SEACOM capacity goes down. Phase 3 In May, we will be taking a substantial amount of capacity from TEAMS and at this point all customers will be guaranteed at least 50% backup if either one of the cables were to go down. I thank you for your continued support and we look forward to being able to provide you even better services in the near future.
